I am Sonia Rivera and I am running for Houston City Council District H because I am passionate about giving people a voice in our city and making sure our city is a place where everyone can live, work, and play. Our city needs an experienced and committed leader. I'm a proud Houstonian who has dedicated my life to public service. For the past 2 decades, I have been devoted to making meaningful changes in the Houston community. I have the knowledge and expertise to continue to make a positive impact in Houston. I'm committed to listening to the people of Houston and working together to create a better future and am dedicated to finding solutions to the issues that Houston faces.
My platform is solution focused. I believe in creating a strong and vibrant economy that works for everyone, regardless of their background. I understand the complexities of the city and I'm willing to listen to the needs of its residents. I will work to create a higher quality of life for all of Houston's citizens, through initiatives that focus on improving our infrastructure, tackling crime, providing support for small businesses, and spurring economic growth.
Houston is only as strong as its leadership; the people of Houston deserve representation that can address Houston’s challenges head-on. As your City Council representative, I will work to ensure that everyone in our city has a voice and is heard. I am committed to making sure that Houston is a city that works for everyone, not just the few. I hope you'll join me in this movement to make Houston the best it can be.
